Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Indian Muslim Community in Germany,

On behalf of VIMV-IGMC e.V., the BES (Bereavement & Emergency Support) & the FSC (Finance Steering Committee) teams sincerely express our deepest gratitude for your incredibly swift response and your generous contributions towards the bereavement cause. Your willingness to stand together in a time of grief is a testament to the strength and compassion of our community.

We would like to formally acknowledge and reassure all donors that these funds will be utilised solely for the purpose of bereavement causes. The current contributions are being applied directly to the immediate needs of this cause. Any remaining funds will be held in trust and dedicated strictly to assisting with future bereavement cases, ensuring that your Amanah (trust) is honored according to your intentions.

Death is a part of life, and therefore, as a community, we must acknowledge that we may face such difficult situations from time to time.

Although this was the first such case where we, as a Verein, had the opportunity to come together and communicate as a community, it has also highlighted the importance of having a structured approach for the future.

IGMC remains committed to supporting our community members and their families in times of bereavement. Henceforth, a dedicated BES Team will be in place, along with a separate fund allocated specifically for bereavement support.

Our aim is to ensure that, during such difficult moments, no family feels alone and that the community can come together with compassion, dignity, and meaningful support.

Your generosity carries a great promise of reward from Allah (SWT). As the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:

“Whoever relieves a believer’s distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from one of the distresses of the Day of Resurrection.”

Sahih Muslim

Furthermore, we are reminded of the merit of your charity:

“The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.”
